As you may have discovered, losing weight can be hard!
But you probably noticed the word usually in the title.
Because losing weight isn’t always hard. It’s just usually hard.
Let me explain.
Weight loss efforts all boil down to a single concept: behavior change. In order to get different results, you must do things differently. Simple, right? Simple, but not always easy–for weight loss or for anything else!
Because as a hypnotist, I’ve learned that all behavior has an intention or purpose. And at its root, every behavior has a positive intention for you. That may sound strange, given how many people engage in self-sabotaging behavior at every turn. But it’s true. Every behavior is intended either to get you something good or remove something bad.
“OK then,” I hear you thinking. “Why don’t I always do what’s good for me? Why do I self-sabotage?”
Well, if what you’re doing and what you want to be doing aren’t the same thing, it’s because your subconscious mind thinks the benefits of your current behaviors outweigh the costs. So while you want to keep your body trim and look your best, maybe part of you doesn’t want that. It wants to keep things the way they are for any number of reasons: avoiding intimacy for fear of getting hurt, inappropriately associating safety to food, avoiding sexual attention or pressure, not wanting to be more attractive than a spouse or partner, not wanting to give up favorite foods, fear of not having enough, the list of potential blockages goes on.
And that’s where the struggle comes in. Overcoming those blockages is hard! That’s why shedding weight is usually so hard for most people: inner civil war!
But as I said, I am a hypnotist. Which means I know how to resolve those subconscious conflicts about losing weight and looking good. I can resolve the very blockages that make it hard.
I can help align all those parts of you so it’s just something you want to do naturally. And when we resolve those internal conflicts, the struggle goes away, the resistance goes away, the angst goes away.
And notice I didn’t say I was going to bully your subconscious mind into submission. Not at all.
Because your mind does good work. It is incredibly intelligent and it’s been doing what it has been doing in part because it wants to protect you. And we want it to keep doing that!
No, what we will do is work with your subconscious mind. We will resolve those conflicts to the satisfaction of all parts of your mind, so everyone agrees and everything is pointing in the right direction.
And once that occurs, all that is left is for you to actually do it. I mean, just understanding it isn’t enough. You have to do the things. But what used to be struggle turns into mere effort. And that’s a lot easier because there’s no resistance anymore.
